Learn how to upgrade, downgrade, and manage your Kling Cloud subscription. Control your billing with ease.

Take control of your subscription on your terms

Managing your Kling Cloud subscription should be straightforward. This guide covers everything from upgrading your plan to canceling your subscription—all without needing to contact support.

Accessing Subscription Settings

To manage your subscription:

  1. Log into Kling Cloud
  2. Navigate to Billing in the sidebar
  3. Click Manage Subscription

You'll see your current plan, usage, next billing date, and available actions.

Only organization owners and admins can manage subscriptions. If you don't see billing options, ask your admin for access.

Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading takes effect immediately:

Choose Your New Plan

Click Upgrade Plan and select your desired tier. You'll see: - New features unlocked - Updated contact limit - Price difference

Confirm and Pay

We'll prorate the charge based on your billing cycle. You only pay the difference for the remaining period.

What Happens When You Upgrade

  • Immediate: New limits and features activate
  • Billing: Prorated charge to your payment method
  • Data: All existing data preserved
  • Team: Additional seats available immediately

Downgrading Your Plan

Downgrading takes effect at the end of your billing cycle:

Review Requirements

Before downgrading, ensure you meet the new plan's limits: - Contact count within new limit - Team members within new limit - Integrations within new limit

Schedule Downgrade

Click Change Plan and select the lower tier. The change schedules for your next billing date.

Clean Up First

If you're over the new plan's limits, you'll need to remove contacts or team members before the downgrade can process.

What Happens When You Downgrade

  • Timing: Takes effect at next billing cycle
  • Features: Reduced feature access after change
  • Data: All data preserved (may be read-only if over limits)
  • Integrations: Excess integrations disabled

Switching Billing Cycles

Save 20% by switching from monthly to annual billing:

  1. Go to Billing > Manage Subscription
  2. Click Switch to Annual
  3. Pay the discounted annual rate

You'll receive a prorated credit for any unused monthly period.

Updating Payment Method

Keep your subscription active by keeping payment methods current:

  1. Navigate to Billing > Payment Methods
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter new card or bank details
  4. Set as default if desired
  5. Remove old payment methods

Add a Backup

Add a second payment method as backup. If your primary fails, we'll automatically try the backup before suspending service.

Canceling Your Subscription

We're sad to see you go, but we make cancellation easy:

  1. Go to Billing > Manage Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Tell us why (optional, helps us improve)
  4. Confirm cancellation

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Immediate: Cancel confirmation sent
  • Access: Full access until end of billing period
  • Data: Retained for 90 days after expiration
  • Re-subscribe: Come back anytime, data restored

Exporting Your Data

Before canceling, export your data:

  • Customers: CSV export from Customers page
  • Campaign data: Available in Analytics exports
  • Flow configurations: JSON export available

Pausing Your Subscription

Need a break but don't want to lose your data? We offer subscription pausing:

  1. Contact support to request a pause
  2. Choose pause duration (1-3 months)
  3. Reduced rate during pause period
  4. All data preserved

This is ideal for seasonal businesses or during slow periods.

Usage Monitoring

Stay on top of your usage to avoid surprises:

Contact Usage

  • View current count in Billing > Usage
  • Get alerts at 80% and 95% of limit
  • Clean up to stay within limits

Feature Usage

  • See active integrations
  • Monitor team member count
  • Track API usage

Common Questions

Will I lose data if I downgrade?

No. All data is preserved. Features may become read-only if you exceed new limits.

Can I get a refund?

Monthly plans: No prorated refunds. Annual plans: Contact support for unused month refunds.

What if my payment fails?

We retry for 7 days with notifications. After that, account moves to read-only. Update payment to restore.

Can I transfer my subscription?

Yes. Contact support to transfer ownership to another organization.
